I recently had my first massage at 1010 Thai Massage in Angel, Islington. While I didn’t particularly resonate with the practice of being asked to pay upon arrival – it didn’t feel the most welcoming – I can understand the reasoning behind it. I generally love Thai massage and deep tissue treatments, and I can tell the therapists here are skilled. However, the massage was a bit too intense right from the start, even for someone like me who enjoys firm pressure. That said, I did feel the benefits a few days later, with my body feeling looser and more relaxed. It may not have been the ideal experience for me, but I’m sure others who prefer a very strong massage will find it enjoyable.
